Guide to Editing Top-notch TikTok Beta Videos
In the TikTok community, building and growing a channel requires patience and skill. You might fall into one of the following three groups:
- Create 10 channels and get 1 successful one: Lucky
- Create 10 channels and get 3 successful ones: Skilled
- Create 10 channels and get 5-6 successful ones: Pro
Here are my experiences after 6 months of working with TikTok. If you are in Hanoi, feel free to connect for networking!
Choosing a Topic (Channel Content)
Choosing a topic determines 80% of the success of your channel. Find video sources from YouTube, Instagram, Douyin, and avoid TikTok. Check the channel names and IDs on TikTok to ensure that no one else has used that video source. If the source is from Douyin, choose long videos with lots of Chinese characters to reduce competition.
Creating an Account
After selecting a topic, create an account and set the name and cover photo to match the topic. Interact with content similar to your topic so TikTok will recommend videos in the right genre.
Editing Videos
- Images: Trim the beginning and end, rotate images, change aspect ratio, speed up the video, and adjust the color. Choose the best image frame, use the freeze frame function in Capcut to create a cover image.
- Sound: Use “vocalremove” to separate voice and background music, then adjust on Capcut and add new background music.
- Subtitles: Create English subtitles automatically. For Chinese, use Capcut Pro or Capcut China to export the subtitle file and use GPT to translate it into English.
Important Additions
After completing the above steps, add 2-3 other videos as overlays, set blend mode, and reduce opacity to 3-4%. Create keyframes for zooming in and out. Add several short audio clips to create a dynamic sound effect.
Results
My channel reached 300k followers in 2 months. This is not my main job, just to earn some extra beer, snacks, and coffee. If you have any questions, leave a comment!
